"Batter-up"
This painting was done on the street of Marietta at one of the artist walk's. I had many spectators that day and one man got really interested in the piece and was turning it all directions to see what was in the painting. This was my favorite way of hanging it because I could see a blue bat swooping down after something and an elephant off to the right side of the painting. A Native American fellow came down the street to look at it and I said to him, "Isn't this neat? There is a big bat swooping down in it." and he replied, "Wow, that is cool, you know that all up and down the street there are bats swooping down toward the crowd." and I said, "REALLY?" because really, I had no idea of it. I love how the subconscious picks up these little things, even if you think you aren't aware of something.
